Post practice smoothie bowl

Post practice smoothie bowl

This is a great post workout snack. It includes so many key nutrients and variety of deep flavors.

Ingredients

serves 2

  • 2 frozen bananas

  • 3-5 ice cubes

  • 1 medium peeled frozen cucumber

  • Handful fresh blueberries

  • 1 cup watercress or “cress”

  • 1 cup Ripple or almond milk

  • 2 tablespoon peanut butter

  • 5 fresh basil leaves

  • Sprinkle of cinnamon or vanilla

  • Sprinkle of ginger

  • May add sweetner to taste

To make:

  • Place all ingredients in Ninja or other high power blender. Blend until smooth;  serve immediately.

Notes: Image is topped with fresh fruit, chia and coconut. May also try with a touch of matcha or spirulina.

For a more simple blending process, slice banana and cucumbers into “chips” before freezing
