Post practice smoothie bowl
This is a great post workout snack. It includes so many key nutrients and variety of deep flavors.
Ingredients
serves 2
2 frozen bananas
3-5 ice cubes
1 medium peeled frozen cucumber
Handful fresh blueberries
1 cup watercress or “cress”
1 cup Ripple or almond milk
2 tablespoon peanut butter
5 fresh basil leaves
Sprinkle of cinnamon or vanilla
Sprinkle of ginger
May add sweetner to taste
To make:
Place all ingredients in Ninja or other high power blender. Blend until smooth; serve immediately.
Notes: Image is topped with fresh fruit, chia and coconut. May also try with a touch of matcha or spirulina.
For a more simple blending process, slice banana and cucumbers into “chips” before freezing
