Athletes & performers, coaches, directors & parents

Welcome to the Aspire Performance studio site — providing wellness for athletic minds.

My name is Traci Stanard. I am a consultant in wellness for athletes, parents, and coaches. I live in northern New Jersey, with my husband and two boys.

I have always loved sports and performance atmospheres. Originally as an athlete, I competed in recreational sports. Eventually, I became focused on the sport of gymnastics, and reached the elite level at age 13. This level required 4-6 hours of training daily, as well as national and international travel for competitions. I qualified for the 1992 Olympic Trials at age 16, and then competed for the USA National Gymnastics team for the latter years of high school. I finished my career competing as a All-American for the University of Utah. Over these years, I relied highly on mindset training to feel mentally organized and confident on the competitive floor.

Upon graduating with a degree in Psychology, I took up running, and began a Masters degree in the Psycho-social Aspect of Sport. I spent three years in research working with both competitive athletes, and in a residential hospital caring for child victims of severe abuse. During this time, I encouraged the hospital staff to use tactics of Sport Psychology as therapy instead of certain intense forms of medication. I was motivated by this idea and decided to launch my own consulting agency, Aspire Performance, in 2005. Along with my Masters, I earned certifications in social service work (SSW), wellness, and personal training (ISSA & NSCA), all of which help maintain cutting edge strategies for my clients.

As a consultant, I use the basis of wellness health principals, infused with the top mindset strategies to teach athletes to focus during the most intense times of practice and performance. I truly believe that with a strong foundation of communication, education, and persistence, any coach, parent or athlete, can manifest a successful career. If you are aspiring to make the most of your sport or professional activities, or even work through a stumbling block in your career, feel free to contact me to establish a pivoting solution :)
